update: after I uploaded this video I went to check out and the clerk said "oh we sold one just like that last week for $100" so apparently I'm the doofus of all time and this is not actually the same machine, they just got two completely identical macs and then priced them differently for no apparent reason. it's still bizarre that this lasted on the shelf more than an hour
